Terminology

  • Everydate - the Everydate team.
  • Qublee - operating entity of Everydate (aka Qublee, LLC).
  • Service(s) - the Everydate application and site.
  • We - the Everydate team.
  • You - reader or person using the application/site.
  • User - person using the app or site (you or others).
  • Account - your instance inside our Services.
  • App/The App - the mobile application.
  • Site - the www.everydate.app website.
  • Third-party - external system connected to our Service.
  • Terms - separate document about our Terms of Service.
  • Privacy Policy ("policy") - this document.

Summary

At Everydate, we take your information, its privacy, and security very seriously. In this policy we go through our practices of collecting your data so you can be better informed when using our Service.

In order to provide you with a good dating experience, we require some personal information about you and your preferences.

Throughout our Service, you can think of all content in these 3 parts:

  • Any information we consider important to enhance our Services (our content)
  • Any information given to us by other users (other’s content)
  • Any information given to us by you (your content)


Information we collect

Here’s what kind of information we collect from you and others:

  • Your name
    Last name is optional, but we require your first name so that other users are able to identify you and refer to you by your name.
  • Date of birth
    Your date of birth is not shown to other users (just your age). We require it to confirm your age to match you with other users’ dating preferences. This is also used to validate you against our minimum age requirement, as per our Terms.
  • Gender identity
    It is important for us to know how you identify, to be able to match you with other users’ dating preferences.
  • Gender preference
    This is a key requirement in order for you to see other users that match your dating preferences.
  • Location
    We ask for your device’s location mainly while using the app. The exact location is never shared with other users (they only see an approximate distance). Having your, and other users’ location, gives us the ability to show you people only within your distance preference. Location is collected sparsely and only when major changes in your device’s location are reported.
  • Contact info
    Depending on your preferred method of login, we might collect either your email, phone number, or Facebook contact info. For the Facebook login, please refer to the section below. As far as email or phone, those are only used for us to communicate to you important updates based on your preferences. Your email/phone is never shared with others.
  • Pictures
    Pictures are used to complete your dating profile and help others see who you are. You must make sure, and take responsibility, that you own and have permission to use the pictures in the app.

Currently, you can make changes and updates to most of your content anytime in the app. If you’re unable to change some of the content, contact us.

If you want to hide your content from others, you can deactivate your account in the app. This will hide it from the public and preserve it for later use, when you see fit to re-activate your account.

To completely delete your data from our servers and systems, use the Delete Account option inside the app. To do so, under the settings screen 👤, tap Account, then Delete Account, then follow the steps to finalize deletion.


Other usage of your content

Outside the basic functions described above, we may use the information gathered from you for various purposes, including the following:

  • Upon sign-up, you allow us to use your contact information (either email or phone number) for further communication, such as, but not limited to, automated or non-automated notifications based on the frequency required by our service.
  • If you contact us through the app, we will use your existing account’s information to get back to you (such as your email or phone number).
  • If you contact us through the app or outside the app and give us your contact information, we will use that info (such as your email or phone number) to respond back.
  • We can provide you products and other services that you request based on your content.
  • Your content and information can help us respond to support or other issues you might have. We shall use that info to troubleshoot or investigate any issue you might have.
  • If advertisement is present, your content can be used to tailor offers based on your interests and activity.
  • Your content can be used by us to improve the Service and resolve issues or errors that arise anywhere in the Service.
  • We can perform data analytics and aggregation of app usage for different types of analyses.
  • Your content may be used to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • We do not sell nor share any user data with third-parties and we do not target advertising.

Device Information

There is some information we collect about the device(s) you use to access our services. This includes:

  • Location: with your permission, geolocation from your device is collected to show you people based on your distance preference. If location permission is declined, we do not collect this information.
  • Hardware and Software: this includes IP Address, device type, device-specific and apps settings and characteristics, app crashes and errors, operating system type and version.
  • We do not collect: Device ID, IMEI/UDID, no advertising IDs, no other unique identifiers, mobile network, cookies.

Facebook Login

In order to use our Service, you may sign in using your Facebook account. Doing so, you authorize us to access and use certain Facebook account information, including but not limited to your public Facebook profile and information about you and your photos, email, birthday, and gender. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the login credentials you use to sign up for Everydate, and you are solely responsible for all activities that occur under those credentials. If you think someone has gained access to your account, please contact us.

If you want to unlink your Everydate profile from your profile on Facebook, we cannot access or change these types of settings. Go into Facebook’s settings and follow the instructions to remove the Everydate access/settings there. To delete your account automatically, first use the option in our app, then remove Everydate from Facebook. Otherwise, contact us to disable your account.

Everydate never posts to Facebook, it just uses your information from there to pre-populate your profile for your convenience and a better experience.


Apple Login

In order to use Everydate, you may sign in using your Apple account. Doing so, you authorize us to access and use certain information from Apple, including your email and full name. Upon login, you have the option to override these settings and even use Apple's relay messaging system, where your actual email is kept private from us. You are still responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the login credentials you use to sign up for Everydate, and you are solely responsible for all activities that occur under those credentials. If you think someone has gained access to your account, please contact us.


Phone Login

You may also create an account using your mobile phone number. When you sign up with your mobile number, you consent to our privacy policy, which ensures that we do not share your mobile number with third parties. You may receive messages from us for account-related notifications or updates, and message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier. You can opt out of receiving text messages from our service at any time by texting "STOP" or by toggling this option off inside the app's settings.

Note that loss or change of your phone number may results in lost access to the service, including any purchases (purchased benefits) or subscriptions.


Security

We apply reasonable security measures to safeguard and protect your content against misuse, loss, or unauthorized access. Such measures include, but are not limited to, secure transport protocols, secured servers with firewalls, and modern authentication mechanisms. We encourage all of our users to use strong passwords and keep their credentials secure and private. Changing your password frequently in our app, or Third-party apps used for our login, is strongly recommended.


Account Deletion and Data Retention

We understand that your privacy is of utmost importance, and we respect your right to control your personal information. If you wish to delete your account and associated personal information from our platform, you can do so through two convenient methods:

  • Within the Mobile Application:
       • Access the settings screen 👤
       • Tap Account
       • Then Delete Account
       • Follow the instructions to complete deletion
       • Deletion here is automatic and takes less than 5 minutes
       • This is the preferred method to delete your personal information
  • Via Email Request:
       • Email us at hello@everydate.app
       • Subject line: Account Deletion Request
       • Body: provide login/account details used for verification (such as method to login, first name)
       • Make sure your email comes from the same email we have on the account
       • Depending on your request, more information might be needed to proceed
       • Note that this option could result in option 1 being the only viable option
       • Note that this method takes longer than option 1

App Information

Before proceeding with a data deletion request, make sure the application in reference corresponds to the ones listed here based on your platform:

  • Google Play Store
       • App Name: Everydate: activity dating
       • Developer Name: Qublee LLC
  • Apple App Store
       • App Name: Everydate: activity dating
       • Developer Name: Qublee LLC

Types of Data Deleted

Upon account deletion, we will permanently remove the following types of data:
   • Personal information (such as name, email, phone number, and profile details).
   • Activity logs and usage history.
   • Location information.
   • Profile pictures.
   • App interactions (Feed posts/likes/comments, your chat messages, your likes and replies).
   • Any links identifiers between your account and any other metadata.

Data Retention Period

While most personal information is promptly deleted, certain data may be retained for specific purposes:
   • Metadata, disconnected from your account, is kept for analytics and debugging for a limited period of up to 90 days.
   • Some metadata that is not tracebale to your account is kept for an indefinite period for analytics and system functionality purposes.
   • Data essential for platform operation, safety, and member interests may be retained.
   • No financial information is stored, as transactions are managed by the respective app stores.
   • Information related to outstanding issues, claims, or disputes will be retained until resolution.

App Deletion Note

Please note that removing, uninstalling, or deleting the app from your device will not delete or close your account. To delete your account, follow the steps outlined above before removing the app.

Purchases Note

Deleting your account does not automatically stop any recurring payments or subscriptions associated with your account. It is recommended to manage such subscriptions through the respective app stores, preferably before initiating the account deletion process. More details in our terms.

User Responsibility Notice

Please be aware that even after the deletion of your account, information that has been copied, viewed, or shared by others is beyond our control. We are not liable for the usage or dissemination of such information. If you have granted third-party applications or websites access to your personal information, their retention is subject to their terms of service or privacy policies.
